I see a lot of posts about oil burning, pistons, rings, pickup tubes, etc. It was such a pretty weekend in Georgia,
I decided to pull the head and drop the oil pan to take a peak at one of mine. Took about an hour or so, working in no hurry.

Notice the "F" which always faces the front of the engine:
