Rear wheel bearing replacing

It's been on for 227 thousand miles, what should I do. Don't feel comfortable with an unstaked axle nut

That nut looks pretty recent, but you should be able to get stake type nuts at an auto parts store.

Or drill and cotter it.

I went to parts store and got the correct stake type nuts. I'm all set now, just can't believe that those nuts were on there.
