I have a 91 L model and the rod the lifters are on is bent, two questions. What is the rod called? And can i fix it?

Can you be a little more clearer? It's hard to figure out what you are asking? Are you talking about a connecting rod that the piston connects to? There are no pushrods(to the lifters) in these engines.Rick

its the rocker arm shaft. make sure the bolts attaching it to the head are tightened, and if you take it off make sure they are installed in the same way they cam off, beacause they are hollow shafts they don't only hold the rocker arms in place but they also provde the lube oil to the lifters in the rocker arms. and yes you can fix them you just have to make sure they aren't cracked or it will probably starve the lifters of lube.

Also, make sure you don't pinch those black plastic spacers on the rocker arm! I have broken a couple this way, and had to find replacements in the JY. Check and double-check as you are tightening down the rocker arm bolts.
