So my bracket that holds the shifter up, had it's tabs broken so my shifter keeps falling down. I've tried driving screws through it and they'll hold for about a week but then they fall down. My question, is there a way (short of welding it into place) to hold up the shifter?

Better to do it with a machine screw and a nylock nut, even some blue Loc-tite. Won't fall thru then.
Pull the whole assembly out of the car, paint it if you feel like it, and put some spacers between the two pieces so they are parallel. I used a lug nut and a couple of washers as spacers.Last edited by TominMO; 04-11-2015, 05:23 AM.90 Festy (Larry)--B6M (Matt D. modified B6 head), header, 5-speed, Capri XR2 front brakes, many other little mods
