  • Southern Chicago South Surburban Mechanic wanted to swap out rotors...

Hello, I do not have much time and would like a well versed Festiva mechanic to swap out my rotors. This was last done October 2010 and I just replaced pads yesterday. I live in Alsip, IL - just South of Chicago. I have rotors and is the stock set up. Thanks in advance for any assistance, Al

All done! Wife was not happy since we have a relative over from overseas, but work must be cared for.

Wish I cold help but I got nothing to press rotors with. I'm sure any Midas or similar can do it cheaply. It's not rocket science.

You don't need a press and if you have someone do it for you make sure the reuse the spacers in between the two bearings.the reason for the different thicknesses of the shims is to make up for variances in the front raring housing and hub if you are reusing your hubs and housings your shims will be right if you aren"t using grade zero cheap bearings. All you need to do these is a slide hammer a hammer misc. hand tools an some blocks of wood.I f you want me to give you the procedure. shoot me your phone number and I'll walk you through it.

Thanks for all the replies. Reused bearings, hubs, and spacers. Everything was good except rotors needed to be replaced and work has been completed.
