pretty much not available as a direct replacement but any auto parts store should have the type of relay you need. a 12V SPST relay that is NC and will handle 20A. SPST is single pole, single throw and will have 4 terminals. the load contacts are NC, normally closed when deenergized. the coil side gets hooked up to the 10A meter fuse wire and the fan temp switch wire. the load gets hooked up to the cooling fan and ground.

I'm hijacking this two-year-old thread.
I have a suspect 88LX fan motor relay. Photos attached.
Nobody local has anything. The link above to RearCounter.com got me to a Ford dealer in Overland Park KS who has the part.
It's Ford p/n E7GZ-8B658A, with B being an alternate (no idea what's different).
He's shipping me one for about $56 via UPS.Last edited by AlaskaFestivaGuy; 09-04-2018, 04:21 PM.88L black, dailydriver

bravekozak,
So what might be different between "A" and "B" revs on a simple 12VDC 20A relay? Surely the "form factor" (overall dimensions) and pin configuration won't change.
The real question is "Will the 'A' part that's shipping tomorrow likely work in my 30-year-old Festy?"88L black, dailydriver
