I am having some real trouble with clearance issues between the alternator, and the inner frame rail.
I just had to leave my Festiva on the side of the highway because after hitting a massive pothole, the engine shifted about an inch to the passenger side, so when the engine is under load, the alternator pulley drags on the frame rail, which caused the belt to slip, and eventually snap. I thought people here didn't have those issues with the Festiva pulleys on the BP.
I did remove spacers from the mount I was given with the engine just to get it to fit properly.
I'll take pictures tomorrow after work, but I don't know what I did wrong.
