a regular cherry bomb is too raspy and ricey, what you want is a "turbo tube" glass pack, its like a turbo muffler packed into a glasspack case, thats waht i use on my b6 and its nice and mellow while cruising, but has a really mellow strong tone when you get on it, Racer parts wholesale sells them for $14 a pop, 2" I.d 18" total long fits perfect.

Yeah, I almost went that way... I actually have one of those on one of my Suzuki's, and I like it real well... but.....
I went ahead and put a 60 series delta flow Flowmaster on it.
The trouble with my system is the empty converter.. we figured that out today..
I had the shop put a flex joint in, just after the header, where it is supposed to be, and they put on 3 additional hangers, it is SOLID as a rock now, but has a flex joint, so it won't break later..
I had them put the flowmaster on, and a little chrome wide style tip.. Looks OK..
Sounds great!! I still have the raspy, but it isn't NEARLY as bad... I will get around to tubing the cat someday, but for now, I am OK with it... still have the raspy, but if I want it to be quiet, I can ease through that portion of the rpm band, and it won't rasp. I think I gained a touch of torque... as it will really spin the tires hitting second... even worse (better?) than before..
SO, I am happy.. it REALLY needed that flex joint. I am sure the reason Jamie didn't have it on there, was that he only raced it.. but I street drive it, and it really needed it.
Have had 6 Festys... and counting...
