  • ECU

So I have the B6 in and running. I've been working several hours on trying to swap out the ECU and am getting very frustrated.

So far I have removed the instrument cluster, lower vent duct, shift console and the reinforcement piece below the dash. I have removed the 2 10mm bolts securing the ECU in place but now cannot remove the unit itself. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Finally I got it out. I would rather change out the engine/transmission than the ECU.

I've swapped a couple of ecu's, didn't seem that hard. I did to go Autozone and get a set of rachet wrenches for $30 that turned out to be a lifesaver.
