Okay I've used both styles of nuts,now you can't just slot festiva nuts with a grinder you will never get the same adjustment range the stamped retainers have many grooves and multiple ways of placing them on the nut. However Ford aspire has the necessary hardware,nuts bearing retainers etc . Rob all hardware from junk aspires and drill spindles. Problem solved . I have had the stake nuts come clear off,I'm sure from the reason previously stated the nut had been used too many times. The stake nuts are soft the aspire nuts are hardened. Use aspire hardware!!!!!
