Is the wire the cargo light goes to a L shaped connector near the pass tail light? Is 1 wire hot and 1 a ground to the special latch in the hatch? there is a harness from the light to the connector? Correct? Thanks.

I figured it out, the connector is L shaped, and the 1 wire is hot, I couldn't get a good ground so it was showing dead. I have the latch, not installed yet. I made a simple harnes from the light to the connector. I got the light and latch on ebay awhile ago for like $10.69 Shelby GT-350, 351W, 4 spd

I finally installed the hatch latch with the correct wiring, I found that the T-connector on the pass side rear is not the correct wire, there is a longer wire with 2 seperate signle connectors on the end is the correct wiring. The T only has power when the car is on, I don't know what it is supposed to be used for, but it would make an easy amp connect for a sub, if you make a ground wire. If you install a light and don't need it turn on when the hatch is open, you can use the connectors on the light side, and pull the hatch cover off and run a ground to the single wire connector inside the blue wire tape, and just use the light switch when you want light.69 Shelby GT-350, 351W, 4 spd
