Strange Tranny Noise

I have a 5spd manual in a 91 festiva. If the clutch pedal is all the way out, there is like a rattle or some time of strange noise, but when I press the pedal down about 1/4 to 1/2 inch, the noise stops. I tightened the adjusting nut, but it did the same. I loosed it, but then couldn't get it into gear.

I forgot if the noise stopped when i loosened it. BUt tightened it back up because i couldn't get it into gear.

Any clues of what this is?

there is a new throw-out, so that should eliminiate that.

Usually that sound indicates a bad throwout bearing, Mine does the same thing, not really a bad thing, just live with it untill you need a new clutch
