Are we talking about the resistors on eBay that trick the VAF into believing that it's cold outside thus it tells the ecu to increase fuel? That 1?

The ebay "chips" (which are actually just the resistors DJ is talking about) could give a tiny boost in power, but it wouldn't be worth the cash or the potential damage you could do to the engine by making it feed more fuel into the motor than it should.

they guarantee it does not exceed the OEM limitations, just adjusts the fuel curve as dj said, to dump more fuel in the engine. but not at the wrong times, just gives your car a little more throttle response and pickup. they absolutely guarantee that it does not exceed OEM specifications and will not damage your engine.
(basicly a little more fuel put into the cylinders so u don't gotta push on the accelerator so much i guess)
I'll test the one my mom bought, and if it sucks, i'll send it back.
