Oil leak & Smoke

My engine is completely caked with oil, i'm assuming this is just the valve cover gasket? cause the oil goes all the way to the top



The other problem is that when i try to start it, the exhaust is brown, and then blue...

Yes looks like vc gasket. If it smokes blue, I would be looking for a B6 to swap in. But that's me.

about the only way to get that much leaking, is not even fingertight
Vcover bolts and plugged return drains, and with poor rings
letting blowby pushing it out.

BTW, that oil color looks nasty. does the dipstick oil have
that mocha look too? get steam/vapor from the open oilfill
when running?

i third it, better mileage, more power. don't gotta repair all that stuff that is already wrong with it, much better to put a B6 in.
Find a 323 with a bad tranny or suspension is shot, but has lower km's.
