  • 89 runs then not, then run, then not

festiva starts and runs, sometimes for 2min before cutting out, other times it will run for an hour, but at some point it WILL stall. Its an 89 auto EFI 150,000 km keep in good cont. Replaced Cap, Rotor, Ign. module, Coil. inspected for loose wiring, ignition switch, fuses. Replaced fuel filter, can hear pump working it delivers fuel, at what pressure I'm not sure. Could something in the distributor itself be wrong? Or would it more likely be a fuel pressure problem, or am i missing the whole point? If Dist, can not find 89 efi will newer models fit, I know wiring is different, is that all.

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

checked filter, tried to hold finger over end of fuel hose going into intake man. couldn't keep it on, pressure blew it off when pump engaged. don,t know what exact pressure is but i suspect it is enough. am I wrong?

also connected my own ground to engine, just to be sure bad connection is not the problem. Thanks for your help so far.
