may as well give an update..

    ITS ALIVE!!!

finally got all my new parts in- water pump & timing belt, valve cover gasket & throttle body gasket. Aswell as a good timing belt cover and rubber intake duct from the j/y.

    And it fired right up

Sounds a little rough tho.. but its hard to tell over the freight train exhaust effect lol. The exhaust is this weekends project so we'll see after that.

        Timing belt blew

And while i had it all apart i replaced my water pump since it was leaking in that area. It was just the block-pump gasket, but for the cost of the pump, i just replaced it while i had it all apart.

Ok and another route is this: Napa auto parts stores, not the online version, but tthe actual stores will sell you the insulated wires in like 10 ft. rolls all packaged up for $6.99; I bought one roll in Feb. of this year . Can get the part number if you want

Ahem,.... ops: sorry; got the wrong thread/post here.

Can get the part number if you want it . You 'll need to measure the outside diameter of the fusible link to match up to the same outer dia. of this in the Napa parts stores. They cannot tell you the fusible rating like 15A or 25Amp etc. but the wire is listed in outer diameters. Then cut off whatever length you need, clamp on a solderless connector, and you're done. I did have to expand the connector alittle but it's in there now and running the car.
