plug wires in correct order, and car was running, first started with intermitent stalling but would always restart, this went on for about a week and now it wont start, not even fire at all, it dosent make sence to me. In trying to find problem have replaced cap rotor, ignition module, plugs coil looking for an intermitent problem. it is no longer intermitent, i am sure I have good spark, and good fuel, and fuel pressure.

checked and re checked ground wires, as for location I'm a long way from you in Vancouver bc. Have had others re-check my work, no luck in getting it started. Mybe the festiva is trying to tell me something, although considering its and 89 its in really good shape. This seems to be a problem for the record books, makes no sence at all.

Haven't actually said you are getting spark at the plugs.
Have you looked at any while cranking the engine?

I'd rule out the emissions control stuff as it isn't supposed to kick in until the engine is warm enough for the O2 sensor to work. If in doubt you could try grounding the computer. Look at the instructions for checking the timing to see show to do it. On my carburetted '89 it's a jumper wire.

have spark on all plugs while cranking engine, have looked at computer unit under dash looks ok inside and out, no sign of anything being fried. it seems to me even iif it was with spark and fuel i should at be getting it to fire but it wont even do that

have checked timing with #1 plug out and piston dead top, rotor is right were it should be dead on #1 on dist.

are you sure ur injectors arnt clogged? just because u have pressure dont mean that the fuel isnt shooting into the cylinder
