  • Noooo Crank ;(

Tried to start her up and I had no crank. Buzzer, lights, everything else worked fine. I'm getting the same effect trying to start it as you would with the clutch not pushed in.

I replaced my links with cartriges. They have been working well. Well i didn't think it was battery related due to the fact my wipers and lights work... and it wont even attempt to crank. I pushed the clutch sensor all the way in and still nothing. I pushed it a couple feet hoping something would change but no. The car hasn't been sitting. I drive it a few miles everyday. The only thing that has happened recently is a bad ground fromm the alternator so ive jumped it a few times in the past days. The ground wasfixed and the car charged and started fine untill this.

Did you check your leads on the starter itself?

Had an 87 Escort that would do that about once every other week or so. Just kept a hammer in the car for that very reason. Just tap and go. Tho, what this means is that there is corrosion/rust on the brushes in the starter, possibly something to think about changing. Tho, with the escort, never changed the starter, just tapped it when it needed it for the last 3 or 4 years I had it.
