well my cel (check engine light) has been coming on more frequently, when i was getting the car inspected, i asked the guy, i said "my cel is coming on after about 2-3 miles of driving, but wont throw a code, it resets its self." he said "if it resets its self, thats more than likely an o2 sensor." would this make sense to yall??

no, no sense at all. if it's reseting iteslf that quickly, you more than likely have a CEL high circuit fault (ECU runs a test to make sure the bulb is doing what it's commanded to) OR you have an intermitant short to ground before the ECU.Trees aren't kind to me...

ECU does a bulb check I believe when the car is turned on .
If it is not setting a code , then it is a soft code , that is a component that is not adjusting quick enough , that will make the light go on and off .may be a 02 going ?
May be something really minor .
If it is a hard code then it will set it and store it , that would most likely be a total failure of a component .------------------------------------------------

soft codes are still stored in memory but won't set a hard fault untill the ECU sees the problem again (within a certain amount of time). check your memory codes (not active codes)Trees aren't kind to me...
