^^^ The Festiva Madness Crew is ALL about FUN!!

Brian... the follow up videos of Dean starting / driving the car are actually in his initial posting on the 1st page of this thread. We put the "Sandbag" vid out of sequence on purpose, as we didn't want to "steal Dean's thunder", so to speak! Ha ha!

                  record

It should at least get the record for longest time between compleated engine swap to start up..........it has been mechanically done since 2003!

My friends had a ongoing friday night bet as to when I would pull the trigger on starting it, and I had another friend that kept telling me to just spraybomb it for paint and finish putting it together so I could start racing it, at hillclimbs and what not.

It's just in my nature not to drink the wine before it is done, so I never did because I wasn't going to sport it around without paint. Dean will be the first to tell you that I'm a perfectionist when it comes to setting this car up, thats why it turned out so good.
I really can't wait to see it finished now!

Chris, sometimes you have to drink the wine to remember why you're drinking the wine. But some of us don't have a turbo'd miata as a few shots beforehand.

Take it back to the back porch, join the 3 string revolution.

This car has been pretty radically lightened too. probably in the high 1500lb total range so it goes faster on less horsepower.

Hey Dean, have you even gotten off stock boost yet? try flipping the boost toggle on the dash and you will be going to 12psi..... see how that feels!

                      Chris,

Got off the stock boost Saturday.

Not sure I will do that again until I get some larger tires.

Slammed the gas pedal to the floor while rolling along in 3rd gear..

                      The tires broke pavement.

It was like Nitrous injected into the engine.

                      Had to back off fast.

I had forgot just how fast that b6t would spin up.

Drove the BP car last week 4 days to work.

It is very fast, but not like the turbo.

The b6t will be at Madness.

It will not have been painted at the body shop.

They are still working on the wife's car.

Will have to flat black it for the meet .

Thanks for building one fast ride.

Dean took me out for a spin in this thing on Madness Eve. Amazing, just amazing. Sam is right, you'd best be ready when the boost kicks in, it will put you back in your seat. OMFG!!!!
Wisely, Dean did not let me drive it.

Nice build Chris!! You definitely need to make a meet or something and see how all your hard work turned out.
