A half lap into the feature race at Clinton County Raceway, the 46 Festiva ended up looking like this:

Here's the video of how it happened:

And this video is a look at what the spectators don't see from the grandstands:

The driver who is my son was not seriously injured, but he felt like a guy that had played 4 quarters of full contact football without any padding.
    You gonna race that thing?

oooo that's really too bad. Definitely good to hear your son isn't injured badly. I can't watch the video until you have it up on YouTube, but seeing the car says a fair bit.

Not trying to make undue light of the situation, but I have always wondered how a fastback Festiva would look.

Oh, the carnage!!! Glad your son got away with minimal damage. Can't really say the same for the car.

That really sucks. Looks like he got hit in the side and the back corner. It all happened really fast and there was no time to be prepared. Looks like alot of fun to race there. Are you guy going to rebuild and continue to race festivas?

This is the incar and spectator view of the Festiva rollover along with a slow motion view. The car rolls 3 times and in the middle launches into the air end...

We already have a new car built. He finished 5th last week with no brakes. The proportioning valve started leaking shortly after starting the race.
