Hence the "time to build a proper engine" thread. I can't continue building that new engine till after I get back from Madness, because I have too much going on and not enough $$ to do everything at once. Better tires will help a lot too, as you can hear, my little R888's beg for mercy the entire session. They get no mercy!

I'd LOVE to get some R888's. Those are what I'm planning on using for SCCA.

Very interesting. My other car is a Clio RS 172 itb, but no way can´t keep up with such cars like vettes(rare cars here, M3 are the yardstick) etc. Maybe I´m a poor driver LOL.
Thanks! It's basically just shock/ spring choice and alignment settings. I think the reinforced lower radiator support is also a very important modification. Otherwise the chassis is stock, including rubber bushings and stock swaybar. Mazda did an exceptional job designing this chassis. It has group b intentions written all over it.
I wish we had the Clio here, those are awesome cars. You should post up some pictures of it.

Haha, no. I was just fooling around. Thought someone would call me out there. This is what's under the hood.

In the words of a great festiva tuner and overall good guy, " it's just another b6t".

Duct tape. I'm always worried about banging the distributor with the hoist chain, so I remove it first thing. This picture was taken while installing my XTD stage 2 clutch that never hooked up very well and has been replaced with an MMS clutch.

I never had luck with my Stage 2 ebay clutch either. My $180 KY Clutches clutch has been holding up great.

Interesting that you "shuffle-steer". Have you always done it that way, or is it a nature of the large steering wheel?

Either way, cool videos! If only we were allowed to run slicks in Lemons....

We've got a pretty extensively modified suspension and chassis on our car, but I'm probably gonna have a few questions for you after I re-read your threads a little closer.
