u sure it wasnt 3rd to 5th??? video started at 35 and first shift was at 55....55 in second?? 85 in 3rd? is the gmr trans that much diferent that a festiva's...and is he using it?

55 in second is realistic. Use this calculator http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_speed_rpm.htm. The tire size is the radius not the diameter. The big difference I notice is cruising on the highway. There is a big difference in the 5th gears.

It was a 2nd gear start, I know this cause my car will do burn outs @ 45 in second and they end @ over 55.

on the 1/4 I had my BPTiva up to 93 in 3rd across the finish...thats the stock tranny.

The stock festiva tranny is something like 12% more over driven than the G25MR. Much nicer on the highway with the stock tranny.

There is a big difference in the 5th gears.

I've noticed that when I'm driving my Capri on the Interstate. RPM only drops 500 or so when I shift into fifth. Sometimes I have to make sure it's in fifth instead of third. It feels like it should be way taller than what it is.

yeah 5th gear at 80 mph is around 4000 rpm... a very anoying pitch imo... luckly i just have loud music to cancle it out :roll:
