Sp33dy's 1989 Mazda 121

Im From Australia and this is my Mazda 121 (Festiva) which i've just bought. Believe it or not, im about to sell my 2006 2.4L Lancer Wagon to drive the 'new' 121 (in an effort to try and save for a home loan). I pick the 121 up this weekend, so i'll post more pics then!

I vowed not to mod it, but i don't think i'll be able to help myself --- SO much awesome info on this forum! Already thinking about some big 'rally style' spotties, and ive got some rims coming from japan that were supposed to be going on the Lancer, but i believe they MIGHT fit the Mazda/Festy.

Anyway, here it is. 1.3L 5spd Carby -- B3 Engine i think? (still learning my mazda motors).







Wheels on the way ... 15x6.5 SprintHart CP with staggered offsets (+43 / +35). I;'m hoping i can make them fit, but we'll soon see.

Nice!!! I want that front end!!! BTW if those wheels are in a 4x114.3 bolt pattern, they should fit in terms of bolting on. However, I don't know about the offset though... :dontknow:

Yer... 4x114.3 ... but offset wil be a challenge ,....... will test fit them and see how i go.

It's 1989 Model, with 172,000kms over the last 18 years , No Aircon, and NO Powersteering.... which isnt much considering I've clocked up 39,000kms in the Lancer Wagon over the last 14 months! Without any of the 'luxury' options, i read somewhere that it weighs as little as 725kgs without driver? An engine swap is very very tempting, but for the time being I'll keep it as is and see how it treats me. In aroudn 12 months time, i might have to go buy another one and do an engine swap on the 3 door ive got now, cos i find them more appealing to look at and mod than the 4 door Festivas

That looks to be just the lower part of the bumper painted white.
