Here are the pics. It really held up well. He walked away with just one scratch from climbing out of the car. It landed on the roof. His seatbelt and his racing seats did their job VERY well. We were scared and then relieved.
rule #1: NEVER give a 16 y/o a "sports" car as a first driver.
My first driver was an '89 Chevy Cavalier 4 door, and I still managed to total that two months after I got my license.
As I said before, glad your nephyew's ok. Any plans for rebuilding the CRX?

Wow thats too bad, another crx down the drain. It was gonna happen though sense it was paint code Y49 aka (Barbados Yellow). Theres a curse that goes with that paint on all the crx's that got painted that color. Theres actually very few left in existense and they all end up totalled or burned etc. If you search on Honda-tech.com theres a couple threads about the "Y49 Curse", I had a crx 2 cars ago that was originally Y49 yellow and I painted it Tahitian green which is another stock honda color (candyish teal) because I was soo afraid of being the next victim. I ended up selling the car, I imagine just in time because it was still mint when I sold it as a rolling chassis for $1k cash. I really miss the car and I had originally wanted it cuz I am a honda guy and the crx has a cult following. I loved the yellow also, I really miss the car and its too bad they carried that curse or ironic amounts of bad luck.
Very cool! It's like an infinitely less lame Del Sol.

I killed many MANY cars over the first 15 years of driving. I was crazy. Lucky to still be here. I doubt the CRX will ride again. It has 215,000 miles on it. When you add that to the cost of repair, well....
