That kind of thing will scare the willies out of a young driver.
That's what I'm hoping.
it worked for me, 3 weeks after i got my license (i hate this story) i wrecked a festiva being young and stupid, haven't done any kind of damage to my cars since
1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor
1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)
If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
looks a lot like the damage that a co-worker had to his 240... he blew a tire going around a turn and rolled it. no seatbelt, walked away, he got lucky

the keeper of a wonderful lil car, Skeeter.
Current cars:
91L "Skeeter" 170k, Aspire brakes, G15, BP, Advancedynamics coil overs, etc. My first love.
1990 Kawasaki Ninja 250 - my gas saver, 60+mpg - 40k
2004 MotoGuzzi Breva - my "longer range" bike - 17k
I'm the wild child that flipped my poor baby. I tried to shed a few pounds for acceleration and had nothing in the trunk ( no spare or even carpet) and no gas so the tail was extremely light. Then, as I was gettin it on an on ramp, I quickly took my foot off wich slowed me down and quickly shifted all of the weight to the front. Result- accidental drift. This crash video is identical to what happened to me -http://youtube.com/watch?v=WNQvwtwI-TM
^ I'm sure he doesn't. He just put them in a few weeks ago. He has already found a miata he wants. He was complaining about hating front wheel drive and has been wanting a miata for some time now. I'm sure he'll swap the seats over.
rule #1: NEVER give a 16 y/o a "sports" car as a first driver.
His first driver was my 6th festiva. He still has it. He got the CRX a few months ago. He is 19.
not to be an butt, but he should have stuck with the festy... and for driving FWD for at least 2 years, he should have known to transfer weight to the rear for better balance instead of striping it out.
but all of this is comming from someone who learned about weight transfer in a fiero (the hard way). Never wrecked it save for a small fender bender (blew out a headlight), but i've had many a scare in that car. it was my first car (at 19) and still have it. now its waiting for a chop, stretch, nose job, 6 spd, and twin turbo D.I. 3.6vvt (caddi block)

Trees aren't kind to me...
currently: 2 88Ls (Scrappy and Jersey), 88LX, 90L(Pepe), 91L, 91GL (Skippy) 93 GL Sport (the Mighty Favakk), 94 (Bruce) & 95 Aspire SEs, 97 Aspire (The Joker),
94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.
Yeah, I'm keeping the seats. They saved me. As for knowing better- yeah, I really did. I just wanted to shed some quick weight. I was planning on putting the batt in the back and doing some other things to balance it but just never got around to it. AND THANK YOU av8ter!! Everyone say that the Miata is girls car. Then I say that this girls car could demolish any other stock car under 30k on a road corse.
