    BTW, if you hollow the cat, use 2 1/4 pipe, and your muffler, it sounds like an old English sports car. I throttle it down a bit at the cat though to keep a little back pressure to save the valves, and help with low end torque. Helps a bunch at higher RPM to open it up though.

          I don't have a cat, but there is what appears to be a back pressure tube. The pipe has a bulge in it which is too small to be a cat, but is too large to really affect the sound. So I figure with no muffler and no cat, this car would sound pretty mean. It's not like the car is really fast, but there is some pep in his step.

            it might be a resonator- take a pic of it next time your under there
