ive been threw the twins on a big block incase you have any questions
C6 and FMX are two completely different transmissions

C6 has a one piece cast aluminum case (integral bell)
FMX has an aluminum bell and cast iron case

      C6 uses a compound gearset
      FMX uses Ravineaux gears

mine is just a c6. im working on getting the video size smaller so i can post a video of the car. the video is half throttle donuts.. not the greatest video but i was bored and had a few minutes. non turbo still as of now. but im about to pull the motor back out and rebuild it. i think my cam bearings are going. kinda expected somethig like that on a 40 yr old motor. but shouldnt take to long to have it rebuilt. since its cold out side and nasty weather here. why not.

Its a 71 block with 77 heads according to the part numbers. Somewhere around 50-60K on them and he was asking $250 for all of it, might take less. He bought another 460 to put in his 67 Cougar.

Nice Notch! I love the looks of them, then add 1200HP and youve got one nice car! Is it street legal by any chance?

also see if he will take 200 for it. just looked up northfield ohio and it says 5 hours away. lots of gass money...lol let me know and if everythign works out i can head that way fri or sat. the granparents have the kids so should make it easier to make the trip the weekend. also is it a complete motor? or is it missing anything? any more info you have would be great. an extra motor is always nice to have.

it will be street legal when its finished. and the 1200 hp is with 12 psi of twin t4 boost. right now it is just a stock 460. the twin turbo setup will take alot of time and money which i am saving for. i already have the turbos. all in all it will cost some where around 16k start to finish. but if i have 2 motors ill ake one a 545 stoker and the other a boosted 460. and thanks for the compliment.

my first big block set was home built. using opposite side shorty headers (this is far from ideal) at the time my welding and fabricating skills were not what they are now. i hacked them off and bought a ton of mandrel bends from the speedshop (most bends were messups) i mixed and matched and bent to make the collecters turn forward twords the radiator and up to a merge pipe to were the batt once was.
my second set were kooks custom built. these were by far the nicest headers i have ever personaly owned and would recomend them to anyone as long as your pockets are deep enough.
i ran into every problem you could think of. i didnt own a computer at the time nor did i want one. so experienced help was few and far between. everyone swore they knew exatly what had to be done but not many had a clue lol.
my biggest problems overall were intake temp, and a\f ratio underboost mixed with timing curve

ok man thanks just let me know. any info is always nice. if you dont mind ask hi how it ran. i have the pullies and carb. so thats not a big deal. i would mainly like to have it to throw in and drive around with while i rebuild my other one. i think a 545 and twin tt 460 would look nice in the car and garage..
