well compression test revieled 75psi in #1 cyl. and the rest were 150. there's some bottem end noise as well which isn't good. and the rad was pulled and sent out for testing to see if the tranny cooler was leaking in the rad. as well the top endtank was leaking as well.

      Nice cars there !!

Why the carb set up going on the LS motor ?? NICE CHOICE of engine !!

Looks like a LS6 intake there , I know what you are doing there , but it is hard to pass up the consistency of the FI. with a program you can make it do anything you want .

well a new rad is 175 for it and I have a 1.6L sohc motor lined up for the weekend now. so hopefully when I get the motor out I can drain the tranny and get the right fluid in it. theory is that the car sat through 3 winters and the rad froze cracking the tranny cooler on the inside.

the sprint was originally gonna be a big inch big block. and the rear end and all the suspension was setup with high gearing and same with the rest of the suspension. then he got his hands on the 6.0L and wanted to go turbo but I guess there's a few guys putting out 550hp on the carb setups and he's just gonna spray the heck out of it. it's been a 3yr in the making project. and since he started it he's developed a family so it's slowed down and took several direction changes since then.

well went through the parts bin and decided I needed to make a intake for the whip.

here's what I got so far. got a used coupler from a honda intake that I a buddy donated. and the piping and the other coupler are froma ford powerstroke I had picked up for free in my travels. and the filter adapter was pocketed from the local pick and pull and the filter was just sitting on the shelf. could only tack it up welder died on me.

more to come as the project moves on...

i replaced the stereo in mine and all the factory speakers. i even added two more in a rear dash i built for it, as well as a custom fit sub box i made and it sounds great. as for plugs ive alway used the Bosch Platinum II's in mine and its done good

well I finished it up last night got carried away and made a whole night out of it.

the stock iac hose I but short to fit the new short ram.

didn't want to grind the welds but the welder was borrowed and I didn't realize when the other guy hooked up the gas kit he got the polarity backwards. after we figured that out the welds got better. and easier to weld.

don't have a tap so the breather off the valve cover will have to be done by a buddy today.

I was origianlly looking for a used tranny dipstick tube off an old v8 to weld up for the iac hose. and came across a hose adapter of some sort off a areostar. worked awesome.

was in the welding and fabbing mood while paint was drying I decided to move the coil bracket(which needs to be done for a strut bar) this was the outcome.

a template of things to come...

                      the end result

shes sturdy... can hold slurpee on it no problem. and doesn't rub on anything. just need to order a new filter now.

                      even used the stock clamps...

got a few other things done lastnight as I was waiting for stuff to dry. finally mounted the cd with a mounting kit I picked up yesterday. fixed the washer squirter on the hood. now I need danm wipers. the better this car runs the more I love it. I can't wait for paint and the body kit... and body mods... today's job is gonna be to hardwire in my satalite radio and mount my fuba attena.

Nice work... curious.. where do people get the rubber things to join their intake together? (Yellow thing you have). I'm using plumbing ones... very thick and not very flexible.
