Great cars. I hope yours is a 5-spd?

I have a shop full of 1.0L metro parts, complete engines/trans./body/interior/etc. Let me know if you need anything.

Metro parts are plentiful and cheap (prolly ten metros for every festy out there) they get around 50mpg driven sanely. Anything to do with the doors (window cranks, handles, etc.) are ill designed, prolly the biggest reason people give up on these wonderfully simple little cars...bonus for us!

Now if you had an XFi on your hands....

          Brenton
          Because....45 MPG.

Anyway congrats on the find, those metros are good little cars I'll probably own one someday but still waiting to find one for $50  I wish it was as easy to find parts for my 3 cylinder as it is for those metros :-P

I had a 91 and 93 Metro five speed. They were fun cars. Not as roomy as a Festiva and I think I got 8 more mpg...53 average vs 45 with the Festiva. I got 63 mpg on the 93 on a 55 mph trip with some stop and go through small towns. Only downer was 3000 rpm at 60 vs 2500 rpm in Festiva.

My personal MPG record is held in a 93 Geo Metro XFi: 67MPG driving from Maine to Mn. @ 55MPH. I only used 2 tanks of gas!

I have plans for a supermod 2-seater version with aerodynamic mods everywhere (under-skirt, moon caps, rear-wheel skirts, etc) I'm pretty sure I can clear 75MPG, others already have.

Amazing little cars that might be the last thing on the road by the time this is all done...
