Hey, glad to see im not the only one rolling around in a geo.

Spent quite a bit to get her on the road, but its a nice car, only 67, 000 miles (U.S car). Its an auto and has a Suzuki 1.3 L engine. With GT bumpers so it looks pretty smooth Its surprisingly doesn't have much rust at all. (Open to trading this car for a festiva of equal quality )

Anything to do with the doors (window cranks, handles, etc.) are ill designed, prolly the biggest reason people give up on these wonderfully simple little cars...bonus for us!
Yeah i had to buy a door to get parts to fix my window crank, and the door handle was broken.

I know of a local junkyard that only parts out metros if your interested. Just tell me what you need and I'll try to find it.
I'd be interested if you could find some sort of geo emblem. My car lacks having any sort of recognition, no where on the car does it say geo/suzuki

That's what it would look like with one...

Yes it does have a trailer hitch (from previous owner) i haven't attempted to pull anything just yet but i might have to test it out with a small 12' aluminum boat+trailer ??

Thanks and good luck with the geo

Swift Gt needs body work and some welding. Had a wreck last summer and radiator support is pretty much into a tootsie roll. Metro XFI needs new block, hub got warped. Last owner didnt took care of it at all though got his car for $100. Festiva is still in progress went to the JY found a good radiator, the RPM cluster think a good deal only payed $8, new shinny left headlamp, speedo cable, and battery tray. Water seems still come out of the reservoir...thinking might have a blown headgasket.

Finally with a week and a half off work, I finally got around to tackle this project.

Ends up the exhaust valve broke and did a number on the top of the #1 piston.... also the head was a little buggered up, but I blended and cleaned that up pretty good (didn't get any pics of the head)
Took the head to a machine shop to put a new seat in the #1, and all new valves.

Can't wait to get this little thing going and turn around and sell it.
I thought the Festiva was easy to work on - this 1.0 liter 3 cyl is REALLY small.
Got a block with pistons/crank at the JY about a year ago... so i just swapped out long blocks... didn't even touch the transmission or half shafts, just took off the H2O pump and everything and she slid over and down.
Heres a pic, you can see the valve in the upper left corner:

I'm gonna have to look around at ecomodder.com just for fun....

I wonder if anyone has ever put the turbo Storm's engine into a metro... I always did like the Storm.. my brother had one that he debauched and me and my cousin wound up fixing just enough to run in a blind crash-o-rama. I should have kept it when my brother gave it to me instead of giving it to the cuz.

So, for about the same price as a fully-loaded 1993 Ford Festiva, you could also wield the power to obliterate a small village in the blink of an eye.
