    On the road again

The EGT is on the road again. The junkyard tranny works great, nice and tight. Replaced a rear main seal and a pilot bearing and sanded a couple of hot spots on the flywheel . Clutch was good. Had some trouble with the welded nuts holding the cross member, had to cut them out and use another nut. Its running great, I cant imagine a turbo version of this motor in a festiva. The EGT is surprizing fast. Of course thats coming from a guy who has driven a festiva for the past 16 years but Im really impressed with the BP power, & love the throaty roar. Filled it up and will be checking the fuel mileage. I hope this car doesnt spoil me from driving a festiva.

The GT is home. Took one hour and forty minutes which included hooking up the dolly, getting slightly lost, loading the car, unloading the car, and returning the dolly 25 miles to the rental place, unhooking the dolly and getting my $5 deposit back. Too bad they dont have a two hour rate. Ya might want to keep an eye on your festiva.

Ritzy side of town. They ain't as cool nor as pretty as us Eastsiders!

Nice score Fresh! Midwest Escort Inc. don't sound as cool as Midwest Festiva Inc., so don't go changing our colors or patches!

^ Thanks spiko, Im looking forward to getting it on the road. Besides my econoline club wagon I havent driven/owned any other car except a festiva going on 16 years now. Hey Levitan, this car lived in Altoona and Des Moines for a time. I got a history on it from stevewl1164. One of the DMV reports is from "West" Des Moines,...... as opposed to "East Des Moines. 8^)
