  • went junkyardin today

I went there for the sole purpose of getting an int. wiper switch from a mazda mx-6 for my aspire. I've gone to this junkyard a few times, but kept forgetting the camera, and I finally remembered to bring it with this time. I never did get my wiper switch, but oh well.
The hatch inside the engine bay is the hatch I had on my aspire for a few days until I noticed the rear defrost on it didn't work.

drool '90 LX but really tore apart

another 90LX this one is in better shape(yell if you need any of these parts)

now a few pics of different kind of interesting cars I found there

    metro xfi

What kind of car is this? looks like someone put a little bit of work into it.

    capri

    metro 'vert

    another xfi

what is this? it does have a funtop

Now look at this... this is actually my dad's first car! I knew it was his because he said that one day his brother cut the back end off, for the RS headlights and taillights.

        WOW Awesome Junkyard!!

i wish they were like that here. the purple car is a civic hatch. the silver car is a subaru justy. i see a ford fiesta in the backround of one of the metro pics. please grab the ragtop out of that justy and put it in your aspire! the junkyard may give you a deal on it.

could you grab the measurements and brand off of that ragtop? asc is the original festiva funtop brand, and they were 36x40 inches. i`m betting it is exactly the same as the fun tops put into festivas. there are many people who would pay a pretty penny for it, i had mine up here and got several pms on it.

I would bet that Jon is right about the Fun Top.

                It may be the same.

ok, just let me know if there are any parts that you guys need, I'll make a special trip one day, because I get a better deal if I buy everything in a group. Plus the junkyard is more than a 1/2 hour away.

Wow, that's alot of dead Festies. Except for one guy who specializes in Festivas and Aspires, you almost never see a Festiva in a junkyard around here. If one comes in, it's gone within a couple of day.

BTW, someone should go to prison for cutting up that Camaro.

Dumb thieves go to prison, smart ones go to work for the Government.
