It was my turn to go junkyardin today. I haven't done it for a while. It felt goooooooood!!!!!
Found two festivas, one black, one red. Both had their factory spoilers missing. Only the plastic mounting clips remained. I quickly picked them up. The red one had the interior completely missing. It must have been a sport interior, just like the black one. I took the red striped door panels and left the rest. Only the rear seat was good. The passenger seat had a cigarette burn hole in it. The cargo cover was missing in the red one, but all the hardware was left behind! Got it! There was a rare cassette radio in mint condition also left behind. Got it! Original Ford factory mats. Got it!
Blu, your response reminded me that I forgot to check for the underseat tray!
Can you imagine that. A dozen festivas, and I forgot to look again.
Next time for sure.
I'm still looking for the proper hoses for my carb setup, but ended up getting a factory Intrepid spoiler instead + they had a special for the complete interior of any vehicle for $75
So...
I got the entire three rows of mint leather seats for a Caravan, including door panels, power driver seat, Infinity speakers, etc. It must have just come in.
In the 90's we had Clinton in office. We also had Bob Hope and Johnny Cash. Now we have Obama in office and we have no Hope and no Cash.
God grant me the serenity to accept what I cannot change, strength to change what I cannot accept, and wisdom to hide the bodies of those who piss me off!:-) This isNOTan abandoned vehicle
Holes for rear wiper, nozzle and spoiler.
Next stop, Technostrip for getting it down to bare metal.
Then, a quarter mile away, Butcher Engineering for e-coating.
Then paint Cayman Green. I must say, Pthalo Green pigment is terribly expensive.
I will be putting the other two rear hatches I have up for sale later.
