              umm that's a no-go there nate, you'll have to swap in the entire lay shaft from the 4 spd as well as pressing in the 5th gear form the aspire to that lay shaft in order to use the 4 spd diff. different final drive gears means different tooth counts.
              Trees aren't kind to me...

              currently: 2 88Ls (Scrappy and Jersey), 88LX, 90L(Pepe), 91L, 91GL (Skippy) 93 GL Sport (the Mighty Favakk), 94 (Bruce) & 95 Aspire SEs, 97 Aspire (The Joker),
              94 Justy 4WD, 87 Fiero GT, plus 2 parts cars. That's my fleet.

                  Nope - just need the spider gears, and they should be the same! I guess I wasn't clear on that, it doesn't need an entire diff, just the spider gears.

                  Paul - that 5 speed is from your white LX

                  John... we might have to work out something to get blue back on the road. If you pick up all the parts you want replaced maybe I can come up for a few days.


                  Motoxpress... first one with money to me can have it. I'd rather if it went to a known-good home anyway Its in great shape rust and body wise, the brakes are awesome, only problem I've noticed is the whine in 4th and clicking from a CV. Let me know if you want it and we can work something out! It can stay here until you have time to pick it up as long as I can get part of the money up front.
