  • A week at Sasquatch's place!

Hey there Sending messages from Sasquatch's place in beautiful Langley, British Columbia!

We're gettin' everything on my white car all done up and ready to go back to Manitoba... almost 3,000 KM in a span that'll be 2-3 days across every sort of terrain you can think of... I wanna make sure everything's in top shape!

    Here's what it started as...

Popped some clear corner lights on there.... The driver's side one isn't lining up with the fender though that fender has a bit of rust. and it has a tiny dent.. maybe it'll all line up when I put the new one on.

We got an aspire swap all sand-blasted waiting to be under-coated... Just gotta get some new rotors and break pads then everything will be good to swap.

I didn't take any pictures while of the progress... but we changed out everything that should be changed out regularly, Cap, Rotor, Wires, PCV Valve, Air Filter... Still have to get the new fuel filter, thermostat, and do an oil change.. but we'll get to that once everything's jacked up to do the aspire swap.

For a car with 70,000KM on it some things were pretty dirty!!

+ We had a bit of fun with a G-force meter testing stock VS Aspire swap... but I think I may have blown out my master cylinder trying to match the aspire-swap's breaking G-force

(Sasquatch's Aspire swap breaking G's was .97, My stock Festiva breaks got .85... but now the pedal almost goes down to the floor before the breaks kick in)

    And the best part...

2 Festiva's being sea-foamed at the same time!

Sasquatch has another angle of this on his camera.

I'll be sure to post more pictures and video once more work gets done.

im working on getting those vids up... one is over 100mb so it wont up-load in the 2nd vid i think i held my starter to long lol... and the 3rd for some reason my starter wouldnt click over... it just grinded twice but 3rd times the charm lol i like how in the 2nd vid you can hear the intake and exhaust note i have never heard it from that angle lol

and now i just realized i look kind of "silly" when i run lol... (i blame the heat and being 6ft,5in lol) it was hot today...

Roughly 95 Degrees for you imperial-ists

Luckily the nearest neighbors around here are at least 200 yards away!

Got alot more stuff today!! I'll update once more a bit later... Time to go paint some rims!

Some more updates for the day!

Took off the dented, slightly rusty panel and got the new one prepped and ready to go..

The bumper had a minor dent in it... so I grabbed another one and got that all ready to go too

Here's a picture of a minor pile of parts

I got a whole nother stack right before sun-down that I've yet to take a picture of... I've got roughly $1600 worth of parts sitting waiting to be installed

Things are a wee bit dirty... but everything will get a thorough cleaning once we're done a majority of the work!

                      To

I managed to get some decent condition door panels... They're not fancy or anything... And that ALOT of grey... But they'll be patterned leather eventually!

And the biggest thing for today....

                      I managed to find rims!!

I don't have any before pictures... but they were gross before!! It's amazing what a little sand blasting and paint will do!!

                      Sandblasted

                      Primed

Paint! This is a picture of the 1st coat, the 2nd coat + 2 clear-coats made these things really pop! They're some 13X5, 4X100's

                      More to come!
