I wish I had taken pictures but we've had Copperheads, Black Widows and Brown Recluse all around our home. I love living in Alabama but I hate summertime due to these pests and the humidity. I Mtn Bike a good bit and last week after a ride these friends of mine in the video found this snake on the side of the trail. So now I can add Timber Rattlesnake to my list of things I hate. That side of the trail is about knee high when riding by.

I was surprised to learn a few years ago that Mosquitos are terrible in Alaska. I had always thought the extreme cold kept them away but then saw a history channel special about the Army Corp road building projects during WWII. Many soldiers died due to Mosquito born disease. Also spoke with someone who live there briefly and the bugs were horrible. There's no escape!!!!!!
