And the top of 3rd gear is only 130 - 140 km/h  the other day i had mine to the top of 4th at about 180 km/h  thats moving pretty quick i tell ya

lol it kind of funny cause im use to be going flat out at about 90kmh and maby 110kmh down hill... so 140kmh is crazy fast for me lol... but it just amazes me how it gets there... and also the grearing is WAY WAY WAY better in the 323 compaired to the festiva when i go from 3 to 4 in my festiva it bogs like crazy... when i do it in the 323 it just want to go like crazy i think i hit about 150... it also has a tiny bit taller tires than a stock one so the speedo is a bit off..... and i got your pm, thanks for the pics.

                    ok one more up-date...

i got the valve cover painted today but i have to re-do it cause i rushed it and didnt wait till the paint was 100% dry... and some of the metal bits stck in the paint...

anyways it started the day looking like this...

took off the vc and found it was very clean in there

the vc was chipping and junk... not good

went and got it sand blasted...

then layed in some gun metal gray...

then masked the gray and paint red

                    pull off the masking...

now i scraped off the paint and started to sand the rest off to get down to aluminum.

but as you can see there is a bunch of silver flakes in between the lines so i masked off the "dohc and 16 valve" and sprayed it once more...

and if thats not bad enough i have to sand the "dohc and 16 valve" once more cause stupid me i used perforated tape...

anyways thats how it will look but a bit better

and i also cleaned the air filter and found out its a hks one

and i also found out it has a light weight pully on the crank

and i was wondering if these are the stock cams... the guy i bought the car off of said the guy he bought the car off of changed the cams when he re-built it but he used stock cams... im wondring if he did a miata cam swap... are these numbers stock 323 gt or are they miata? the loge on them is VERY pointy... they have allmost no duration....

                    intake

                    exhaust

                    anyways that it

edit: i totaly forgot about that bov.... ill get on that tomorow... and its just for $#!$ and giggles... its not staying... unless i can hide it so no one can see it and it sound amazing... lol

If I'm not mistaken, my 323's paperwork said it was around 1080 Kg (around 2200 lbs) and the Festy is supposed to be around 800 kg (about 1700 lbs)...You do the math!!!

thats 500 lbs... thats alot of weight.... but i thought the 323 was more than that.... more like 2350lbs ish...

EDIT: i just checked and the festiva is 803kg and the 323 is 1040kg.... but i think a scale will tell the final story anyone know how accurate a truck scale is? i heard somewhere that they are accurate to 10 kg...

Just seems like a shame to wreck a perfectly good car.

which one? the festiva or the 323? they are getting the exact same thing done to them... they are getting bigger and better motors, the festiva is getting the b6t and the 323 is getting a bp+t when i have enough time and money.... its not going to the dump after i take out the motor. i know how rare these cars are... and it would be a shame to junk it, i get mad when someone wrecks a festiva for no reason so i wont be a jerk and wreck the 323...
