One that note I'm glad it fired right up! Awesome! Just narrowed the possiblities down. Saftey switch or ignition switch.

Yep! Sounded real good too while I had it running noticed that I have a leaky throttle body gasket while it was running.. no big deal thats an easy fix.

Not having to shift.

Not having to worry about someone else tearing up your clutch if you have to loan the car out.

I think there are advantages to both. But he wants an Auto, so that's what he built.

yeah but I just dont understand why you like the ATX better. Whats the pros in your opinion?

It's ALIVE!!! almost..

I jumped the starter, and it started right up! It was good to hear it run! Just have to figure out the electrical issue now..

I can see benefits to that swap. Coming along nicely. Loving the wheels. Hope you get the kinks ironed out quickly. Know you've got to be itching to take it down the road. I know I would be.

you did a manual to auto swap??? why??? I want to do an auto to manual swap personally. Also, whats the difference between the aspire and festiva head.

It's my car so I'll do what I want with it.. like it or not I really don't care.. The aspire head has roller rockers.

Man, sucks to have done all that work and then it not run! It'll be running soon though I bet!

Yeah i showed up tuesday night around 6:30 worked for 3 hours the first night. Wednesday we worked all day on it minus the time we spent at the junkyard, walmart, orielly's. Thursday morning we set the motor and trans in and completed hooking it up.

It wasn't easy work, but we got it done.....aspire swap, engine extraction, manual to auto swap, engine/dash wiring swap, brake pedal assembly swap, steering collumn, back glass, aspire cylinder head....whew.

We left no time for trouble shooting on thurs morning because i had to leave by noon. The car does not run, but we have electrical power almost everywhere. We tested the starter while out of the vehicle...it spun and engaged. I've narrowed it down to no power to the starter, faulty park/neutral switch, ignition switch.
