more lightning pictures

hey there is a festiva in the picture. I didn't notice it a first.

It would be awesome to be able to get a picture of lightning with the festy in the foreground, but that would require way to much luck, patience, and timing for my ability.

I've used a Canon DSLR for years, although started out with a Nikon. Obviously, Sony has a lot of fans as well.

MJD, if that's the kind of weather you have in Wyoming (I just thought you had snow and more snow!), I think I will stay in coastal Virginia where we just have hurricanes!

I think it is a person who goes around taking pictures each year of storminess throughout the midwest. These are actual photos from the plains states I think. I got a few from where I grew up in Nebr. There are some great lightning and other "weather chasers" pictures. I look at once in awhile...I tell ya ...the other day I swore I was gonna be hit by lightning driving my white '88 LX to work...wheeweee ......

I love these kind of scenes, always recall the tornado I seen in Nebr. and Colo. state line area when I was 10 years old........ewww.......
