    What happened to your truck?
Sold it and bought a festiva.

It needed some serious work due to previous owners neglect. It just didnt show till about 6 months down the road. Shame though....the frame was rust free and the box was fiberglass.

That's an awesome Jeep! Crazy muds you got stuck up in there.

The snorkel leaked in the airbox a bit. Seems there are extra steps than just putting it in and hoping. The guy that was on the other side said they make vaccum seal stuff that actually SEALS the airbox 100% water proof.

Hey... you live and learn I guess. I drove it last night and it ran pretty good. I've got some little stuff to take care of yet, but it seems to be ok.

Logan - Nothing really. I pulled the carpet shortly after I got it because that is one of the main culprits... It was leaking water, it gets held in and then starts to rot. There's not a lot of rust on the body at all, so I'm happy with it (even with PA winters).

As far as a soggy ride home... The rest of my was already wet from having to open the door... Water just flooded in at that point. I had a change of clothes that started floating in the back of the Jeep when I opened it up. They were mostly dry though, and I had some blankets from my brother that kept me dry for the 20~ mile trip.

And no... I started leaking water up from a couple drain holes that I left unplugged... I think if I had those filled, it probably would've stayed pretty dry... But STILL, I had to get out so that I could tie on the rope. And the windows that I run in the winter open about 6 or 7" and that's it... Not nearly enough for me to crawl out of without opening the door... :\

Reminds me of when I taught HMMWV "driver's ed" once during summer camp in the Army Reserve. One part was going through water baths in concrete "pools" made for the purpose. The water had plenty of holes to enter the passenger compartment through the floor. We would just put our feet up to keep our boots dry.

I remember one of my pupils was a general.

Looks like a blast Simon. A bad day in the mud still beats a good day at work. Tho, you and Nick are really making me miss my old 73 CJ.
