Is the hood made of fiberglass with one layer of carbon fiber on top? How much does it weigh?

                            carbon fiber hood

it is a carbon fiber hood, i dont know how it was made, but it looks good. i can weigh it tomorrow at work, before i take the car to be sanded and buffed. tiger. it is very light.

I agree that the top layer is CF but the bottom looks like painted fiberglass. A fiberglass hood would be very light too. I guess $325 would be too cheap for all CF.

hey Beast, you can check out C2 motorsports in kearny mesa for hood pins, im not sure if they have the aerocatch ones above but you can ask. the guys that run the shop are super nice and helpful. i have bought pins from them for another car i have. their phone # is 1-858-495-9200 Steve usually answers the phone m-f and the other guy ron is usually around on saturdays too. If you call them tell them conor told you to call. Oh also saturdays they close at like 3 i think, but i am not sure if they will be in the shop at all today because there is a local race at qualcomm stadium. but i think he usually heads back to the shop in the afternoon after they're done racing. good luck!

ps since the site is having problems i cant accept your friend request right now

                                - Conor
