They will disassemble it, and...... it will be scrapped as I have heard. The problem is the lead paint on the steel.... or so the State says.... made it cheaper to replace then upgrade believe it or not. I am supposed to get the plaque off the top, if they do as was promised. It was moved here 30 yrs ago surprisingly enough from another location at that time. It was a real trooper........

Are they going to demolish the old metal bridge? It would be a shame, if it's still in good shape. Could be used as a bike trail or something?

Why yes! As a matter of fact it DOES have a extreme right turn on the other side!
Here is a "before" shot, Marcus.

(Actually, it in fact has a secret entrance in the rock that opens to reveal the Batsteva Cave. Even Scott didn't know it's true location until now)

Oh no, Im a no where man living in a no where land. It just looks like the bridge runs into the side of a hill with trees on it. I assume it takes a sharp right when you get off the bridge ?

Ya oakhill got its ass handed to it last winter. Probably the 2nd worst snow I have seen since I have lived here. All I have this time around is a festiva so I hope it doesnt get to harsh. That M715 looks like it could climb a tree! Nice.

It is one of those ! 3 ton weight limit on it. I hate to see history go, as the iron bridge was built in 1896, but it will be nice to get a delivery in that direction instead of across the Ridge road. It gets impossible to get across in the winter, although the State still considered it " a provided access to the property "

Last winter was a bit harsh. At that time we didnt have a festy that ran but with 3+ ft of fresh snow on the roads, I doubt it would have went anywhere. My chevy had a hard time a it sat about 2 ft off the ground. I believe we will have a mild go around this year. Cant wait to try out the sledstiva lmfao.

New river gorge bridge was closed a few times due to insane wind gusts and heavy snow.

Cool. Is that old one one of those one car at a time bridges? Those are fun!!

There used to be couple of bridges in Loudoun Co. VA that actually used to sway when I drove my old work van across them.

My Fun Bridge is going away!!!!!

Hey Scott, check out what they finally are doing in my corner of the world! I never thought I would see the day the State actually got the contract out to replace it!
