We can spray your car...but you'll have to strip the rustoleum off of it first

Hope you get good at using that aircraft stripper LOL
Man!!! Why couldn't you have joined the site sooner...before I did the rustoleum job!?? I REALLY want to paint my car Midori green, so I'd be down to stripping the paint off if you're serious about us painting it. Sounds like a nice summer project to me!

What mirrors did you use on it? I'd like to find some that I can paint the same color as the car.
Those are the "swoopy" mirrors. You can also use the ones from a mazda protege, but you have to do a little bit of modification for them to fit. I had them on my car for a while. I've got two sets of the protege mirrors but both sets have little problems. The case is cracked on one, and a small plastic piece inside two of them is broken off so the mirrors shake around a little bit.

I can paint it if you don't mind a little fuzz in it here and there..LOL My shop isn't the best place for painting cars but we've painted alot of them in it. A friend and I are trying to work a deal on a shop in Denver that has a paint booth. If we can get that it would be alot better. Or option 3: I have a friend with a body shop in Troutman man that is way better at laying paint than me and would probably do it really cheap if we do all the prep work (that's 90% of the labor in a paint job).

Are those the mirrors you have on your car too?

The mirrors are from a 90 Festiva LX. The protege ones look almost the same and are normally cheaper!

My pillars are blacked out on my black cars, and blued out on my blue car.
              Surprise, surprise.

IMHO, if you're going to tint the windows, you need to black out the pillar. Just completes the look. Again, just my opinion.

Blacked out B-pillars look great with tinted windows. L's were all body color, L+ and up were blacked out. But, the black does eventually wear through to body color paint and needs a rattle can touch up.

Not necessarily, some L's got blacked out pillars like my 89' did and it was just an L not a L+.

Right now I've got a shop full of dismantled 89 Mustang LX and it doesn't look like it's going anywhere soon unless the owner gets a good tax refund Hopefully I can get the shop with the paint booth. If not I can get you in touch with my friend Tim, the guy with the body shop. If you do the prep work he doesn't charge alot to "pull the trigger" on a paint job. I know he's done body panels for people who have done their own prep work so I bet he'd do a small car as well. Also, he may be able to get you a better deal on paint. What brand are you planning on using?

All my cars were blacked out factory, and Smurffy also has a blacked out section below the back glass. The only ones I have seen like it were 90 LX cars.
