When we went and picked up these motors yesterday something about the B6 that I got for my car looked different but I couldn't put my finger on it till just a little while ago.

Look at the pic and tell me what stands out (other than the fact it's extremely dirty). It's hard to see in the pic but you'll know it when you see it

Brad and Cody can't reply cause I've already given them the answer

    Its a 16 valve B6?

        YUP! I thought I was just getting a regular B6. Turns out it's a B6-ME!!

Not a huge difference in HP...but the "coolness factor" just went way up (at least for me anyway)

Another lucky break. Turns out that Cody's motor is a B8-ME! We came out really well on this deal

All B8 engines sold in the USA are MEs There were no 8 valve B8s sold here.

^^ I did not know that. Thanks for the info

I'm a Ford guy from way back so I'm still catching up on this Mazda stuff

Still pretty stoked about the B6-ME though :blob2:

You should be. They're pretty cool little motors and like to rev.

I was thinking of doing a B6ME swap, but since (it seems) MX-3s are kind of rare around here, I'm going B8.

^^ The place we got the motors from has alot of Mazda engines. Want us to check for another B6-ME for you? He ships as well.
