Thank goodness. Every Friday here, there is some kinda wreck on I-25, I don't understand how people can be so ignorant when it comes to that sort of thing.

Yea that actually wasn't really the driver's fault IMO. I was actually on 70 when this happened and you are driving down the road with a little spitting snow then all of a sudden you can barely see the front of your car ! It was nasty, but I did the smart thing and pulled over into a gas station and waited it out. It was Sunday and I didn't have anywhere to be.

I disagree. Accidents rarely happen. This was a 30 car collision because people were driving too fast for conditions. In that type of weather, bridges will be icy. There can be black ice. The drivers assessed the road conditions incorrectly and were involved in a collision.

I agree that people need to use common sense when driving in bad conditions but I was not exaggerating about the conditions. It went from partly sunny with a dusting of snow falling to you couldn't see the brake lights in front of you in a snap. It only lasted around 10 minutes but it was brutal for people that were on the highway. The roads just had a little bit of snow blowing on the ground with full view all the road and lines. I stopped as should have alot of other people because it was way to nasty to be driving on.

Wrongfullleaf is correct, it was a freak weather event, nearly complete white out with no warning. There were four such pileups in different area locations around that same time. Very intense little pockets of snow. Only a couple of miles wide. One second you are fine the next second you cant see anything.

Guess you've never driven I-70. If someone was going 55 a similar pile up would occur on a nice day.
