What is it with the ladies hating the Ranchero??

When I was little, the shop where my Dad worked had a Ranchero, and an El Camino they used for parts runs. Those were awesome. My mother hated it when Dad brought one of them home and parked it in the driveway instead of his van. No idea why. I used to be "too sick for school" quite often just to get to go on parts runs with Dad. Don't know if Mom didn't realize what was going on, or figured WTH?
