I have a "Wiener Dog" that, if you make her mad, would definitely try to eat your face off! I learned a long time ago, don't piss off a dachshund. They turn into lowered dobermans when mad.

I don't buy that. The rott is going to be closer to the pit but the shepard isn't. It simply is a physical design. When you look at a power lifter and a long distance runner you can see who would excel at each sport. You can see by looking at a pit that it's stocky, torquey. Even it's jaws.

Feh, you can say what you want about Rotts. Every one of them that I've ever been around that wasn't trained as a guard dog, has been just as gentle and people friendly as any other dog. Mine was a pup when my twins were born. They were around each other from pretty much day one. Don't think the thought of hurting the twins ever crossed the dog's mind. But God help anyone else she thought might be thinking about hurting them. Never bit anyone, but trust me, she could make her dissatisfaction very plain without biting.

apparently youve never watched police videos where they let the dogs go , those german shepards wont let go for anything. there was a video , of course i cant find it now where they did a test. there was a gsd , rottie and apbt. they tested biting force. can you guess which dog had the highest bite force ? the gsd.

as for little dogs biting childrens faces off. my x gf's parents had a jack russel who attacked there other daughters infant and tore her face up pretty good. wish i had pictures to show , any dog is capable of biting.
