Here are two recent pics of my new DD; one wet, one dry:
I was at the OSU Stores warehouse last Tuesday and found some drafting tables there. I may buy one or two and maybe turn one into a "yard cart" to hold fluids, small parts, a few cheap tools, etc.
This one was a day or two ago near my home, but in a prettier setting than my worn out back yard.
And here is what I did this morning and part of the afternoon:
Mmmm, tasty 1988 LX on the smorgasbord! I loaded up my plate, you betcha! Spent $171, but I think it was worth it. Aqua will get a new, less rusty and very nice looking rear bumper, some LX side moldings, a five speed console with proper boot attachment (!), some A,B and C pillar trim pieces, and maybe a couple other little things.
I also pulled two front manual belts. The 'yard guy told me about a local place that replaces the webbing. I'll have to check it out. I paid $140 to have Aqua's right front belt redone by Seatbeltplanet. They did a good job, but we'll see about the local folks.
It was a Very Nice Day!!
Here's hoping ya'll had a nice day too!
I'll leave you with an interesting photo of the naked rear bumper of a Saturn sedan:
Instead of foam fillers for impact absorption, they evidently use plastic "cell" pattern material for the same purpose. First time I've seen this and I had to take a pic. Cool, huh?
