    • man you guys suck... your garden spot is bigger than my whole property !!! I really need to move outta the city. Awesome pics and stories, dont forget that fall is garlic planting season, i dropped down 32 cloves recently, cant wait for next season.

anyone ever think of going nuts with the garden and hitting up the farmers markets and making a few bucks?

Oh yeah, thats right. I was wanting to do that. Thanks for the reminder ! Next year Id like to grow some non perishables like dried beans and some grains. Things with a long shelf life.

        • .... Here are some carrots we took up today/tonight. After the first frost we pull up almost everything, that the DEER didn't devastate, for the year. May have some more tomorrow, got too late to finish the job.

            • I'm a sucker for fresh home grown carrots!

              • Nice haul on the carrots ! How do you store them? I vacuum packed some and froze them. They are are great for making soups and stews, didnt seem to lose any flavor at all.

                • What produce we do not grow, the wife buys at the local Farmers Market or from the Amish, we use the seal a meal alot. We make Veg soup, chili, Tenderloins, no bone pork chops, etc, when we want some soup, chili or what ever your fancy is, we grab a bag or two, toss it in a pan of hot water on the stove and in no time your eating high on the Hog.

                  • .... Here are the last, I think, of what was in the ground for this year. From here on out, depending on the weather, I will start prepping the ground for next year. There is a little uncertainty about this coming year because of the large Deer population. We just cannot afford to put up 8 foot fences.
